It averages about 28 lbs. per backpack (x2) without the 4 lbs. monopod/head or 8 lbs. tripod/head combo. Last time we went cross-country I only had a small camera... We'll see how things turn out this year.

It all started with my Digital Rebel XT (350D) and a basic kit lens, then things went totally out of control. What else can I say... photography became an addiction I couldn't resist ;p
