I would like to ask you why you carry FRS communication with you in your camera bag?

We've been to remote places where there are no cellphone signals and these old-fashion devices are handy for communication on long trails or in bad weather conditions with other people in your group. They are also ideal for helping each other spot wildlife from different vantage/hiding points.
Makes sense.. I don't even own a cell phone, where I go there would be no service. but there's also no point for FRS because I go by myself.
